slinky is no more...

Cats - 51_1

Our neighbour called round tonight to tell us that Slinky died on Monday morning. Apparently, he just lay in his basket, made a few mewling noises and died.  We hadn't seen him for a few days, and were beginning to wonder if something had happened to him.  It's very sad, but oddly not as sad as I thought it would be.  I think I am quite pleased that he died the way he did, relatively quickly, at home, in his basket.  He was 17 years old, which is pretty good going for a pedigree cat.  I think he had a good life. Slinky shall be sorely missed.

Sorry to read that, sounds like he had a good life.

How sad. I met Slinky, and he was a lovely cat, despite the spraying (due to the other feline intruder). Has he been buried with a ceremony? Does Babycake understand where he's gone?

So so sorry! I miss slinky tales...somewhere in the deep recesses of my itunes is a slinky mewling slip. He was indeed well loved...globally even.

Farewell Slinky. I feel very sad, probably from thinking that one day our Charley will be gone too. I didn't realise you'd shipped Slinky off to a neighbour, was he incompatible with babies? That's how we acquired Charley!

I'm sorry to hear that Slinky is gone. I enjoyed the parts of his life that you shared here, thanks for that.
