a small life

Since Babycake arrived on the scene I have given up on fantasies about travelling the world, or having an exciting, or even mildly interesting, job, for now anyway. I didn't quite realise how small my life had become until today while talking to Babycake about what we would be doing. I told him that we would go to Costa Coffee for lunch and then go to the new, opens today, M&S Simply Food, supermarket to do some shopping. That sounds fine until I realised that I felt excited about going to M&S. Just a little bit sad.

Of course the return of M&S to our little post-industrial wasteland of a town, decimated by two huge shopping centres, Lakeside and Bluewater, within easy driving distance, is something to be celebrated...I guess.
