I'd noticed that. Is it all spam? All the spam that I get seems to be attracted to two or three different postings.

No, strangely enough. Most of the people who comment don't seem to realise that they are commenting on a post in a blog, and seem to treat it as something completely separate. I've read through some of them, but lose interest very quickly because neediness is so unattractive. It is almost as if we are running an entirely separate lonely hearts site from within the blog. It is all very, very odd. There is probably a book or at the very least an article in there for someone who knew how to write that sort of thing.
