more snails of the city
Yesterday Mr McMuffin caught Babycake wandering around the garden with a 'stone' in his hand. On closer inspection it was apparent that it was an enormous snail and Babycake was licking it rather delicately, as if he was enjoying the special flavour of the slime. It was a very special day as he also created his first work of art and I hope Mr McMuffin will scan it and post it, because let's face it, the world really needs to see more baby scribbles. I knew Babycake had finished his masterpiece as he gave a grunt and did a poo on the rug, then got up and walked away. That will teach me to let him run around naked before bed and to mess with the artistic temperament.

Helpful parenting hint...any product that removes pet stains from rugs will also remove baby poo. We particularly like one called Folex which removed a particularly nasty stain planted by our son at age one. Nature's Miracle works good too.

Fortunately the post-bath nudist run in this house usually only results in someone peeing on the floor, and with hardwood that's not too bad. I think we may have had one poo-on-carpet incident but bathtub floaters are a more likely menace.
I wish that it was a surprise that I just typed that for the world to see, but it is not. Alas.
