me again (with a french accent)
Poor little Babycake has come down with some lurgy. He is all tired and coughing, but he is soldiering on, as usual. We went to La Défense. Mrs McMuffin wanted to see it for some reason, but I was quite convinced that it was basically an office block and I couldn't see the point. Believe it or not, it really is an office block, well more like hundreds of office blocks, and it is fantastic. It is like some kind of incredible futuristic city. Absolutely amazing and well worth a trip next time you are in Paris. Mrs McMuffin has let me out for a little while all by myself. She has taken the boy off for a walk in the park. He seems to have made some kind of recovery after having some mother's milk. Must get on now. So little time and so much surfing to do.

Ooo I went to La Defense back in 2000. I thought it was amazing!! We went to the top of that big frame building - simply amazing and well worth a visit I agree.

For some reason we didn't go up (ok, probably because I'd be terrified) but it looked so impressive. I'll definitely go back for another look when we next return, although we still haven't even visited Versailles.

We didn't go up because the Lonely Planet guide said that it cost 7 euros and the view wasn't worth it.

If everyone thought like that, the bottom would fall out of the tourist sector.
