Well we have made it to Scotland.  The journey was remarkably easy.  8 hours from door to door, without a hitch.  Babycake hasn't been feeling well and slept for big chunks of the journey.  We arrived at 6pm, booked into our hotel and then headed over to see my parents.  Mrs McMuffin and Babycake are in bed, and I'm sitting here killing time waiting for my lovely friend to arrive so we can have a drink together.  My brother has gathered us all here to celebrate his partner's 40th birthday tomorrow.  The arrangements have changed so many times that I am no longer sure what we are doing.  There seems to be some plan to meet up at a bar at 1pm tomorrow, and drink and eat all day and night.  I'm not sure if I am up for that at all.  Certainly, Mrs McMuffin and Babycake will not be.  I guess we will have to wait to see how things pan out.
