mrs mcmuffin has worked wonders
It's raining today. I just went to look outside the backdoor and was struck by how beautiful our garden looks. I know that I have mentioned before the terrible mess the previous owners made of the garden, and how Mrs McMuffin has worked hard to create an oasis for us. It really is lovely. Here are a couple of photos taken shortly after we moved in. The previous owner was particularly proud of his row of rotting fruit trees. He even went so far as to ask Mrs McMuffin to promise not to cut them down because it would break his heart.
And here are a couple of photos of how the garden looks this morning.

That is lovely! I particularly like the sort of ruin effect of that back patio wall...

Very nice. There's a career in that sort of effort.

I'm just heartbroken.

We're looking for a garden redesign.
You're fairly local, too...

Ta very much. Mr McMuffin is too kind, as it really is still very much in progress and I'm not a very clued up gardener (unlike the lovely Jo and Mrs Carrot Cake), but if there's anything I can do, Kirsty...

I'm amazed at how Mrs McMuffin has managed to alter the grass to a much lighter and brighter shade of green. Is this a superhero power she's been keeping secret?

Your back yard is lovely indeed. I think that back wall just needs some creeping something - kiwi vine? Morning glories? Cecil Brunner roses? Very Tuscan!

So you cut down the fruit trees? Heartbreakers!
The previous owner certainly wasn't trying to SELL the garden, was he! Was that a garden shed without a roof I spied in the back of the garden?! Also, I like the ladder propped up conveniently in the rear garden so that anybody could use it to get up to no good.
Now it is an oasis! I envy you English year-round gardeners! Well done. I aspire to achieve the same one day.
