macbook
I have completely forgotten to mention my latest obsession. I want a Macbook. I have been thinking about a new computer for a while. The trusty iMac still does everything that I need, more or less, but it is nearly four years old, and looking a little tired. If the truth be told, it does struggle a little with some of the newer software that I inflict on it. The Macbook seems to offer the best of all worlds: it's pretty, with lots of good stuff included in the price, great performance, lots of software and, perhaps the most important thing, it's available in black. Oh, and it's dead cheap, as far as these things go. I want one.

I'm torn between lusting after a black MacBook, and lusting after a 20" iMac. After almost three years with a 12" PowerBook, I'm kind of gagging for a massive screen - and a screen that isn't attached to the keyboard. All laptops make you look down a lot, of course, and after a while you start to feel it in your shoulders and the back of your neck. So I should really be aiming for the iMac. But a MacBook will be easier to carry from place to place. Hmm.

Oh yes oh yes I want one of those MacBooks in black. I don't care if they barbeque the legs, I want one. However, until the missus drops this nonsense about a new house, I'm not holding my breath.

I quite fancy a MacBook too but I'll be buggered if I'm going to pay more just to have the same spec machine in black.
