another day of waiting

We have no idea what happened to the site earlier today, but now it is restored I can tell you that the Bairn is still hanging in there. I've been having more contractions on and off today and feeling quite sorry for the boy, he must be getting truly squished. I had one this morning which was so strong I couldn't move from my prone position. I managed to yell for Mr McMuffin to come and help me get to a more comfortable position, but he was downstairs on the phone to Gypsy Tart joking that he hadn't seen me for an hour or so and I could actually be in labour, so he couldn't hear me.

We went to see another film and for some strange reason I decided at the last minute that Jarhead was probably going to be crap and we should see Memoirs of a Geisha, as on balance I'd enjoyed the Geisha book a fraction more. Huge mistake on my part and we couldn't be bothered to stay until the end as it was just too boring. If the boy still isn't here tomorrow, we'll try and see another film and make the most of the adult cinema experience.

I told Mr McMuffin about the eviction notice that Dooce wrote for her baby and he has been inspired. You will probably see what he's done tomorrow as it's getting a bit late now and we're tired after being woken bright and early by Slinky defending his cat flap from an intruder. By the time we got downstairs he was outside slashing and screaming, clumps of fur all over the place. I'm pleased to report that the arthritic, one eyed monster that is Slink managed to emerge the victor. He's been a bit quiet all day, but has finally got his purr back.

Maybe he wants to be a Pisces rather than a Capricorn!

(Well, as long as he hasn't got his heart set on being a Leo...)

I imagine your site closed down due to an overload of dedicated fans tuning in to see what the latest news is. Even Mrs Carrots dials in from work now to see what's happening. Which is nothing so far! You're really stretching this out!

We enjoyed Memoirs Of A Geisha, at last a movie with a happy ending!
