i'm such a bozo

Mrs McMuffin will look at me differently from now on. My self-proclaimed technical prowess has suffered a serious dent this evening. If you remember we got a lovely new LCD TV a couple of months ago. The picture is great with DVDs but has always been a little bit grainy with SKY. It was my understanding that this had something to do with the signal not yet being good enough for the hardware. Mrs McMuffin accepted my explanation with barely a murmur because I promised her that all would be well in a few months when SKY started broadcasting in HD. I found out tonight as I was playing around with the SKY menus that I had the screen size set wrong. I changed it and, as quick as you can say high definition television, the picture became clear and sharp again. It's a funny old game, life...
