I don't know if you know but Paul Anka has a new album out. It's called Rock Swings. He covers a variety of well known rock songs, but he has rearranged them in a swing style. Imagine my surprise to find that it's actually pretty good. Lots of people have tried this sort of thing over the years, Sinead O'Connor, Robbie Williams and Pat Boone spring to mind, but this is probably the most successful of all these attempts. I think it works because he has rewritten the songs so that they fit his particular vocal style and...it just works. Here's one of the songs.
