gVisit
Has anyone seen the fantastic new free service being offered by gVisit? It does something clever with Google maps to create a map where visitors to your site are logged. This means that I can track visitors to this site down to the street that they live on! Once you put to one side just how creepy that is, it is very, very cool. The service is very simple to set up and it looks great. It's free, but if you make a donation, no matter how small - I gave them $1 - you can have your page upgraded to remove any adverts and increase the size of your log. Seems like a bargain to me.
I've added a link to our gVisit map at the foot of this page.

Well, you can track their ISP down to the street it's located on.
I've got gvisit enabled on boblog. The obsession I had with it at the beginning is only just starting to wane.

I've been waiting for a little flag to appear where I live since about half nine this morning. Does gVisit have Sunday off?

What about all my visits from South Korea? Why don't they show up on the map?

David, I've been in touch with gVisit, and they say that about 10% of cities in the world are not covered by the service. I guess that must mean you. Don't cry. If you leave a comment every time you visit, then we will know that you were here.

Currently I am using stats software from http://www.ip2map.com. I prefer to use it as no limitation of usage.
