ah...it's so lovely

It really does feel good to have you all congratulate us on our good fortune. I never thought I would say this. It's only a couple of years since I thought all those people on the internet who made friends were a little bit strange. I now realise that it is possible to feel a connection with people that you have never met. That is a little bit odd. It is even odder that nearly my first thought once we knew everything was okay was that I must post about this, rather than tell anyone. The other thing is that this news has brought some lurkers, which has been nice. It has even brought out Mrs McMuffin's much, much older sister. The really old one that we don't talk about much. The really old one that we don't talk about much and who has a glass eye and a wooden leg. That one. It turns out that she has been lurking for some time, but she finally has commented.
