good grief...
I have just been looking at the Typepad control panel and I've discovered that we have used up all of our storage space and that the projected bandwith usage over the coming month is currently running at 410.66%. I haven't heard anything from Typepad about this, so we're just going to carry on using it until we hear otherwise. I think we have a fairly ordinary blog, so it kind of suggests to me that Typepad have underestimated the amount of space and bandwidth people may need once they've had their site running for a while.

Our network is secure (I think!). No, I think it has something to do with our hits doubling in the last couple of weeks. We have gone from a poor but respectable 500 or so a day to over a 1000 a day.

Keep us posted on this. I'm close to maximum on the storage and was wondering what Typepad will do.
Bandwidth is not an issue. My five hits a day don't even make a dent.

You won't have any trouble (yet). A Welsh View told me recently that he's almost 1000% of bandwidth use and Typepad let it go cos they appreciate they've no tools to let you see where your bandwidth is going. I myself have been ay 500% for the last 8 months or so. Didn't you do a blog sometime last year where you calculated from your present disk usage that you had enough space to last anbother 10 years or so? What happened? Too much posting music clips I think. And again, Typepad file manager is so sh*te you can't really find and delete files.

Trust you to remember that. Mrs McMuffin also reminded me about that post, but I expect that of her. I don't quite know what happened. I even deleted all the music on the site a couple of months ago, and yet the space still disappears. I'm just going to keep using it until Typepad sort things out. I'm guessing that they are in the process of working out a charging structure!

The projected bandwidth on my blog (also Typepad) is over 500% also. I asked Typepad if this would be a problem. They said it won't be until they figured out a rate for extra bandwidth usage. They didn't say when they will come up with a rate.
