silly me
I'm running a two day training course this week, but I didn't use the weekend to prepare for it as I had planned. Instead I now have to fit it around going to work, sleeping, watching TV and so on. I did some work on it last night. I went to bed about 11pm, but woke up a couple of hours later, feeling full awake. I lay for a little while and then decided to get up to do a bit more work. I've ended up staying up all night and I have to go to work in an hour or so. Funny enough I still feel awake, but I am beginning to feel a little fuzzy. Ah well, it's my own fault, but at least I got some preparation done.

I do that, too - procrastinate until the project keeps me up at night in a big burst of creative energy. I personally think it has something to do with how the subconscious works -- you just weren't ready to do it until it kicked in just before your deadline.

You're probably right, Donna, but I'm suffering now, and I still have some more to do.

By now, you've probably finished your work and are sleeping off the effect of your delayed burst of creative energy. I agree with Ian -- I hope you got yourself a nice dose of caffeine... and I'm not talking about tea, which is lovely in a cold climate such as yours, but you'd have to drink a gallon of it to get the caffeine you need. I liken what you were probably feeling to jet lag... and what my husband and I do whenever we're suffering from it is to (a) get lots of good, strong coffee. And I'm not talking about that weak stuff they serve in most cafes in your country -- if you have a Starbucks in your town, get thee a triple-shot grande latte... even better, go to an Italian or French joint and have a couple of shots of REAL espresso or cafe au lait. And in the evening, when you're still buzzed, drink plenty of wine or beer...

I think you're just a slave to the whims and inclinations of the moon, paralysed in the build-up and then bursting with energy to celebrate its newness or fullness, or whatever it was. So now you know.
"He likes the moon." (Are they still on telly?)
