canapes r us

I've just made some lovely canapes for Christmas day. I'm going down the more traditional turkey route this year and I've decided that a starter would just be too much. So, I made some mini beef wellingtons and some goats cheese filo rolls with dukkah, which is a middle eastern thing made from sesame seeds, cummin seeds, coriander seeds, pistachio nuts, salt and black pepper all toasted, roughly pummeled and sprinkled liberally over the rolls. It's very, very tasty. I got the idea for the beef wellingtons from Waitrose when Mrs McMuffin brought back a packet. They were okay, but I just thought I could do them better. Of course, by the time I bought the ingredients I needed they have probably cost three times as much as the Waitrose ones.

Cost is not an issue when feeding those you love. Make it from scratch, it's always better. Will I get picies??
