28 days...

...are all I have left before I start the new job I got flipping months ago. Before I start I am going to:

  • Get my hair cut
  • Go to 'Bliss' and spa like a fool (Last year's Christmas present from Mr McMuffin and I have looked forward to using it all year. So much so, that I actually haven't used it)
  • Locate my smarter clothes and organise my wardrobe
  • Sort the front garden out and decorate the hallway
  • See my GP and kill evil bug (it is not my friend, even though it has lived with me for about three months now)
  • Buy Christmas presents (I have never managed to get organised, ever)
  • See my parents (bad daughter)

Let me know if you manage to find the elusive amazing hairdresser all women seek. I know you despise going as much as I do. I have heard that Toni & Guy in Bluewater is very good, but of course, very expensive :-(
Need my hair doing for the upcoming friend's wedding. Ugh.

I had one many years ago, but he moved to Japan. I never did go to Toni and Guy after my hair was mangled, but I might give them a go this time.

Ooooo spa, pampering! Something I have never done, but would so love. You must let me know how you like it. I'm not so good with faux fauning and preening. I'd be happier if were just demanded that they give all treatments in silence so chit chat and inane conversation were verboten.

Since you're going to be buying Christmas Presents don't forget to check out my wish list.

I wouldn't bother - if you get something off his wish list so will someone else :-PPP I speak from experience!

Well you can never have too many Ferraris so there's no problem.

Congratulations on the new job! Enjoy the shameless pampering; if I had my druthers, I'd make it part of the pinko platform. "Jobs, housing, and shameless pampering for all!"

And remember--you're not a bad daughter. Just a busy one. And maybe your parents were busy doing un-parenty things. I swear mine have been up to no good since the nest emptied out.
