I think he's making a comment on the emptiness (both literal and figurative) of his posts, but is really that clever? Nah, bet he mislaid it.

Or perhaps he feels that he has nothing left to reveal, as if he has reached the limit of how much he is prepared to show, and he feels that Blogland is attempting to suck out of him any remaining elements of self that he retains, and which he would very much like to keep to himself.
