...and I have had to put Ra out three times so far. It took him a couple of months to work out the climbing in the windows trick, and I guess he is now reluctant to forget it.

Surely he'll need an alternate place to go, before he gives up on the McMuffin country manor? What about banishing him to the gamekeeper's cottage? Or one of the alms houses you kindly had built, to provide shelter for the p-p-p-poor? Perhaps there's a Tiny Tim just crying out for a Ra in his life?
In other words: despite his origins, do you think he'd actually be missed if you pointed him in a direction away from the Villa McMuffin?

...make that 5 times. I have put the fluffy one out the back door this evening AND wiped cat spray off the bathroom tiles. Hanging is too good for them.
