carnivale
Just caught this new show by accident on FX289. The 12 part series is produced by HBO and is called Carnivale. We have now watched the first two epidodes and I am completely hooked. I am not entirely sure what it is about, but it reminds me a lot of American Gothic. Creepiness and supernatural goings on in a battle between good and evil. It's set during the depression and looks fantastic. A lot of money has been spent on this show. The best thing I've seen on TV for ages.

Oh....groan. I love my carnival films, I love my freaks and geeks and wierdo-s, i love my something wicked this way comes, but lord, lord lord....I could not watch carnivale. I tried. I tuned in for the beginning and sat through a few weeks and I kjust couldn't do it. You Mr. Mc M are a more patient man than I (well, of course I'm not a man, but you get the idea).
