boy's night in
Mrs McMuffin has gone out for meal with some people from work to celebrate a birthday in the team. She has left me at home all alone. So, I thought I would have a boy's night in. I hired a couple of films: Serendipity and Maid in Manhattan. I've seen MIM before and really enjoyed it. Serendipity is a couple of years old and stars John Cussack and Kate Beckinsdale. It didn't have great reviews when it first came out, so I have avoided watching it. I loved it. Kate was beautiful and John makes a great romantic lead. Even had a little tear in my eye when they, after many trials and tribulations, found true love. The only problem I have with these kind of films is that there is rarely any explosions or car chases in them.

Reminds me of that shop in Bluewater called 'Serendipity' that sells dream catchers, crystals and the like.
Husband prefers to call it 'Stupidity'.

I do love Kate Beckinsale. My fave is Cold Comfort Farm....

Why do your links point to Amazon.com and not Amazon.co.uk? I was gonna buy Serendipity but can't work out the price in pounds, so I abandoned the idea.

Things on Amazon.com are just easier to find using Google. I don't think it makes much difference where you order things from. The current exhange rate USD -> GBP is 1.7979. Hope that helps.

Oh, I find things on Amazon by using Amazon, never thought of using google. But now that I did, I see your point. It's queer with Amazon - doesn't matter which country site you go in through it knows "you", you addresses, preferences etc. but you'd think it would therefore organize delivery from your home "store" or something, rather than have stuff shipped all the way from the USA. Guess there must be some tax/customs regulation thingy involved or something.

I do order things form amazon.co.uk. Sometimes if I want to read a book, as it was written by the author, or if we need to send presents to my Brother in Law, I will order from there. I have two accounts with Amazon, one here and one there.
