anniversary...

Untitled

We will have been married two years on Monday 26 July 2004. That is good news, but nearly as good is the fact that I have almost persuaded Mrs McMuffin that we should go to Warsaw for the weekend. I am not sure why, but Warsaw has always seemed like an exotic place. I never thought I would ever be able to visit there. I have to admit that the idea of going to Warsaw was suggested to me by my therapist! Her family are Polish, and I told her about the fantastic website that Falling Sky had found selling Polish movie posters. She suggested that I could go to Warsaw and visit the shop. Sounds like a good idea to me.

Go! I hear it's lovely! And enjoy the delights of Nowy Swiat ("New World"), which some claim to be the best shopping street in the world. (Well, according to the Headway Pre-Intermediate TEFL student's course book.)

I really am hateful, I thought we got married on the 27th. Actually, we both thought our anniversary was the on the 27th last year, but Mr McM has learned from his mistake and I haven't.

I don't want to fly again! It's too scary.

Two years??? God, I've been married almost 20, I was truly a child bride (groom)!

Ah...we realised quite early on that we didn't have to get married to have sex. I think we had both gone through the unthinking 'we have to get married' stage before we met. When I was a kid it never occurred to me that I wouldn't be married with six kids by the time I was 25. I just thought that was what you did when you grew up.

Ooh marvellous! From what I've been told it's a comparatively cheap holiday location too, with regards to food & booze, and a beautiful city to boot. If you go to the poster gallery, tell them Nagl sent you. They won't have a clue who you're talking about, but it'll sound right swish.
