angel...

Mrs McMuffin and I have spent the best part of the last ten years of our life following the adventures of Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel. At the end of session five, Buffy sacrificed herself to save the world, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. It was one of those TV moments that we will talk about for years to come. That was a couple of years ago, and still it sticks in my head. There is no point me trying to persuade the unbelievers in the value of these shows, but I do have to say, that this was quality TV. When Buffy ended last year, I felt bereft. It was as if there was nothing to watch on TV, but fortunately that wasn't true, because we still had Angel. Now, two series later, they are cancelling that show. The reason for this is a bit of a mystery. This is a hit show with a strong, if slightly unhinged, following, and it just seems to get better with each new series. Anyway, next week's episode will be the last one ever, and there really will be nothing to watch on TV. What will we do?

Although I've not followed the last season of Angel as I always have done, I agree with your comments on Buffy COMPLETELY!! What a loss!! And I may still love Willow - which may be a problem, considering I am a gay man and she is a gay woman... hmmmm...
I suggest Tru Calling as your new show... Elisha Dusku (I'm sure I don't need to tell you who her character was!!) plays the title role... Addictive just is not the word. And since I am currently without Sky One, BitTorrent is very useful for the start of the season!!

Husband watches Tru Calling and enjoys it.
I'm currently *very* into Big Brother and as a result have completely given up EastEnders!

Tru Calling is okay, but I always find the new adventure every week format a bit difficult for some shows to maintain. This is a show that needs a story arc. I can't believe she gave up the prospect of starring in her own Buffy spin-off to do this show. What were her managers thinking?
Also, for some reason, the show's makers have managed to make her look less sexy than she ever has.
I like Willow too, she was my favourite character. Of course, when I say I like her, I mean I have nothing but respect for her as a human being.

I feel your pain.
I personally have never fully recovered from the cancellation of "I'm Dickens-he's Fenster."
