this is not how we celebrate our love...

Mrs McMuffin was rather taken with this romantic gift found in the pages of Sky Magazine. I heard her muttering, "I'd rather cut my finger off..." I might get it for her as a special surprise.

I think that's a very pretty ring. Does the Mrs. not like it?

No the Mrs certainly does not like it! I think Mr McM is only talking about buying it for me as he wants to see how I get through life with a finger missing.

LOL!

Besides, wouldn't the little roses on it cut and gash the other fingers, anyway?
Oh my God, I've only just noticed that it has the Shakespeare quote engraved on the inside. Oh how tackily unoriginal it would be to go around wearing something as mass-produced as that.
By the way, did you know that the speakers of lots of languages have ten fingers, but in many ways we English speakers have only eight fingers (and two thumbs)?

Would the finger you cut off be the middle one, by any chance? And then would you 'turn it up'.... ? I would.

I would cut that finger off, and poke it in his eye.
David, the quote is from Robert Burns, McMuffin said it wasn't, but I googled it and it was. Gold star please, for paying attention.
