I'm sure worms should be added to Mrs McMuffins scary list. I have a distinct memory of chasing her around her parents back yard brandishing said creature on the end of a rake, whilst she made sounds normally only reserved for teenagers about to get the chop in horror flicks.
My own off the wall scary thing would be someone covering my face with their outstretched hand/s - especially Mrs Carrot Cake. Which of course once she found out my terror, she proceded to do at liberty. What is that all about??

Being sisters of course. Gypsy Tart was frightened of walking upstairs in the dark and things jumping out, so I jumped out every night for months, like taking candy from a baby

Ha, so single-cookie was "brandish a worm on the end of a rake". Seems to me single-cookie is ALSO too afraid of worms to actually touch it! Pot/kettle/black!

Oh, and Mr & Mrs Carrot's fears:
Being left with no f*cking pension because of successive cock-ups and rip-offs by government and industry!!!!!

Posted by: steve | 29 Mar 2004 23:11:30

We left that fear unnamed. Too truly terrifying. I have to say I'm not that frightened of worms/moths /daddy long legs, but SC was trying to throw it in my face as I recall through the mists of time.

Jeff Goldblum? Really? I always thought he was rather sexy myself *blush* .

Kim Basinger! Rrrargh! Boo!

Just trying to see if I could get you to jump.

I dont really know why I am afraid of these, but I think it is just plain STUPID! I am afraid of moths! I am because the wings. They flap so fast and it makes me want to shiver. And the fat harry bodys. It is so disgusting! My Uncle scares me all the time with moths. He picks one up from the window and holds them in my face! My side affects are SCREAMING AND RUNNING AWAY!

I hate moths too. I don't mind looking at them, but there fluttering scares me. And yet, for some reason, butterflies are okay, and don't scare me a bit. I think moths are just a little bit more frantic, and I get caught up in their little panic attacks. Whereas butterflies are more gentle and laid back. They know they only have a few hours to live, but they're okay with that. They seem contented to know that they have brought a little pleasure into my life. This is my own little egocentric view of nature, but I feel certain that I reflect the views of the majority of butterflies.

Yea, I think butterflys are gental. I still dont like moths though. It all started when I saw a big closet moth in my closet and it was HUGE! I screamed my head of and my dad thoght i was being stolen. I was about 6 years old. Butterflys are okay, but kinda scary. I hate things that flap their wings like that. But mmoths are the worst!
Why do they have panic attacks?

I saw this website to see if anyone shared my fear of moths. I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one!

Posted by: Taylor | 2 Nov 2004 13:12:43

oh man. Moths freak me out too. One time I left my window open in summer and I left my light on. A bunch of moths got into my room and It took me a day and a half to get them all killed off. One got in my bed while i was sleeping and i could feel it fluttering under me. I almost busted my head on my nightstand falling out of my bed lol. They are ugly and weird and the worst part about them is that they always fly at your face! gah! not cool at all! And yes Devon, there are lots of people that share the same fear of moths.
